ABOUT HEALTHY SISTERS’ SOUP AND BEAN WORKS
The ladies at Healthy Sisters’ Soup and Bean Works have these things in common: they love healthy, delicious soup and together,
they’re working to overcome poverty, unemployment or abuse. Created by the Catholic Family Center, Healthy Sisters’ Soup &
Bean Works is anot for profit organization created to serve women in Upstate New York.
Participants experience all aspects of the business - production, quality control, inventory and more. Soups are packaged in
convenient tubes, with all the ingredients needed, including spices. The women receive an hourly stipend but the experience
gained is priceless; ladies at Healthy Sisters’ get a powerful boost to their confidence and develop both responsibility and a solid
base of skills to enter mainstream employment. Dependence becomes independence and as one woman stated, “Now I’m able to
support my children and give them a life with dignity. I feel like my life is my own again.”
If that isn’t enough to make you want to run out and buy some of their soups, let us assure you that these delectable creations are
absolutely delicious. Below, Healthy Sisters’ 6 Bean Organic Soup, tested and enjoyed by staff here at Nature’s Wisdom Magazine.
